Events Update:

Kudos to Coutu! That’s our newly elected Selectman, Mike, of course.  

And congrats to Frank Drake continuing on as Cemetery Trustee.

Regrettably, weak Republican turn out prevented us from bringing Joe Marttila to the School Board and also contributed to expanding the Select Board from 3 to 5 members (by 47 votes!).

The Select Board also made good on it’s promise to recognize committee and commission seats as vacant once the member terms were completed. Many applicants came forward and a host of new citizens were given the opportunity to serve in their community. Most notably, the Rye Conservation Commission ad 11 applicants for 4 openings and Hugh Lee, Joe Marttila, Scott McQuade, and Jenn Madden were selected to fill the vacancies. Congratulations to all!
